Fisher Price toys are brilliant for any age group but I love their collection for toddlers! I have bought so many of these for my daughter already! My most recent purchase was the awesome Fisher Price globe I had to buy it as I loved the idea of my little girl learning about the fabulous World we live in. It really is one of the top toys for 18 month old girls. Amelia still plays with some of her older Fisher Price toys which we bought when she was 6 months old; she especially loves her Laugh Learn Love Play Puppy. Role Play Toys for One and a Half Year Old Girls
One of the main aspects of Amelia’s daily routine was the incorporation of role play toys! The toy kitchen above is fabulous for this as was her toy shopping cart for toddlers, which she still uses most days a year after she got it. Dressing up is also brilliant role play.
These really help with imagination and language development and are a good way to get a few toddlers interacting together. I have to say my little girl is extremely social and is learning the concept of sharing and taking turns through playing with these role play toys.

Christmas Gifts for 18 Month Old Female
While all the toys on this page are suitable as Christmas presents for 18 month old girl there are some other things that you can treat your one and a half year old girl to also. I would never exclusively buy her toys, I always like to buy her some clothes and practical items! I will also make sure she gets one of the advent calendars for toddlers too!
I always treat my little girl to a Santa dress each year. She wears this on 25th December when visiting her Grandparents. I particularly love the Bonnie Jean version this year. It is a little more expensive than other special occasion dresses but it is very good quality.
Another fabulous gift is pajamas and like most kids mine gets a new pair from Santa. Stacking toys are popular with this age group and this Snowman one is adorable; Amelia loves snowmen so I know she will enjoy this. Without a doubt these are definitely the best, coming from a Mom in the know! I say this because they represent the developmental stage that a one and a half year old has reached! However if you still want to buy more toys for 18 month old girls I would recommend the items below:-
- Anything to do with potty training- between the ages of 18 months and 24 months your toddler will hopefully display some hints that they are ready to go nappy free. I like the baby dolls that come with a potty, some potty books and some pants! Peppa Pig or In the Nightgarden ones will work wonders.
- New shoes – yep by now your toddler will be ace on their feet! Well my little girl was! Only problem was she was always needing new shoes. They grow out of them so quickly at this stage. I always made sure she had at least one pair of smart shoes and one pair of comfy sneakers that she could run around in (oh and a pair of wellies to jump in muddy puddles).
- Toys that promote language development- goodness this is a biggie! You cannot get enough of these. I particularly love Alphabet Apple and the Leapfrog tablet.
