I am the best person to tell you what to get a 1 year old boy for Christmas because I am in the same position and know exactly the best toys for one year old boys! I have a 2 year old as well and am very knowledgeable with the things they like to play with and the things they don’t. I could not wait to buy Rhys his first Thomas the Train! I debated about buying him some soft toys but decided to buy a push toy! He loves pushing small cars around so I knew he would just love Thomas (my only problem is his 2 year old sister loves his toy trains too so I have had to buy a few different ones to keep them both happy!) I also love the ride on toys for toddlers featured here!
The Power Wheels Thomas with track is awesome fun, but to be honest is a little too advanced for my 1 year old but I know he will just love it when he turns 18 months. He will be 13 and a half months old at Christmas so I might buy it for him and keep it for Spring when his gross motor skills and balance are much better!
Shape Sorter Toys For Toddlers
Shape sorter toys are amongst the top learning toys for toddlers! My little girl loved her cookie surprise jar. I was going to treat Rhys to a shape sorting tractor or car but in the end I opted for a helicopter! These are brilliant for enhancing fine motor skills as well as promoting language development in one year olds. I still use these for my 2 year old but instead now I ask her to find me the red square or purple circle. It is a great way to help toddlers learn colors and shapes.

Rhys is still using bottles so he needs a brand new sippy cup that he can hold. I love my daughter’s Tommy Tippee one so I might get him something similar.
I am really thinking about my little one here and he has outgrown his car seat so that is another thing on the Santa list. He might not appreciate it but he needs it!
