A duplo set is the perfect building toy for 3 year olds. Fortunately there are lots of these available for kids aged 3 and even younger because the building blocks and pieces are slightly larger than the sets for older kids. I have lots of childhood memories of my brother playing with similar looking blocks. He still loves his to this day. It is an easy Christmas present for him every year because I just buy him one of the new ones available. You can find some lego for 3 year olds below. If you are buying lego for 3 year olds who love farming you really need to look at one of the Lego Duplo farm sets. These include farm buildings, tractors and farm animals. My nephews live on a farm and all they ever talk about is John Deere tractors and cows! They are too young to spend time with their Father on the farm but now they do not have to lose out as they can build their own pretend farm indoors with one of the Lego Duplo farm sets. These include toy animals as well as buildings and farm equipment so that your three year old can get the full experience of what goes on in a farm.

Lego Construction Site Set is Fun For Boys and Girls

Little boys who love building will enjoy a Lego Construction site set. Get your little wannabe builder playing with his own truck and crane complete with a loader at the front. I know two little boys who could spend all day picking up blocks using the crane and loader! Not only that but there are two Duplo workmen figures included. Get your little men to finish the building and make sure they use the road signs to divert traffic away from the hazard!

Girl Legos for 3 Year Olds

Being the Mother of a little girl I decided I needed to find some legos for 3 year olds which would suit Amelia. Of course her younger Brother will want to play too but I am hoping if she has some pink sets she can keep them for herself. Most of these feature the Disney Princesses or Minnie Mouse, both which will suit my little girl!

I plan to do an updated post on the best Duplo sets for girls whenever Amelia has collected more of these! It might take me a while but I will get around to it eventually.
